Description
This original oil painting, "Tea for Reading," was painted by Emilie Swanson in 2023.
I was looking for something with Christmas colors since it was near the holidays to brighten a Still Life arrangement. So, I looked to my mom's teacup collection from around the world for inspiration. The teacup featured in the painting is from England. Then I moseyed out into the warm Florida air to find some greenery. Some ferns hiding in the garden beds and a small tree branch were just what I was looking for. I carried my findings inside, arranged them together with some wonderful, old books we had on the shelf and started painting!
