Description
This original oil painting, "Summer Squash," was painted by Emilie Swanson in 2023.
It's so convenient for an artist to have a mom with a green thumb. Whenever I'm looking for something to paint, I don't have to walk far to find it. Her garden is filled with color, texture, and good things to eat! These small squash were sitting outside, casting a beautiful, glowing shadow on the table. I just couldn't resist! While I was hard at work trying to finish before the sun set and ruined my lighting, a little worm was hard at work hollowing out the inside of the farthest squash. Needless to say, we didn't eat that one...Oh well, at least the painting was successful.
