This original oil painting, "Standing Horse," was painted by Emilie Swanson in 2023.
If you know me, you know I love horses. Few of God's creatures portray such strength, beauty, and power all at the same time. I wanted to do a series of smaller horse paintings, focusing on how the light falls over their muscles. To achieve this, I used only black and white paint and left the background blank. Horses never cease to inspire me, and I hope this painting does the same for you!
