Description
There are few things more beautiful than the shine on the coat of a freshly cleaned horse. Here in Ocala, Florida, we have a lot of beautiful horse farms, some of which I have had the privilege to visit. Once, when I was volunteering at a farm, it was so hot that I had to hose off a stallion that was having trouble breathing for at least 30 minutes. Needless to say, my boats were soaked through by the end of it, but the horse was breathing normally again and his coat was shining in the sun. I wanted to capture some of that beauty in this charcoal drawing entitled, "Shine."
